Fox Acoustic Sessions – Every Monday
Now in its 15th year at the same venue, Fox Acoustic is an intimate sing around. Music of any style on any instrument.
Our annual August Singers Night!
The recipe will remain the same, just get in touch to be included. Lots of 10 minute spots available.
No PA; this is an acoustic session.
Please contact Phil Benson if you want to perform, but spots may still be available on the night, subject to the time available, of course.

Floor Singers booked to perform on the night, so far …
Maria and Jak
Maria and Jak are two Fray’d Knot buddies playing as a duo.
Catchy sing-alongs will help keep us doing just that.
Wes Hall
A local favourite, Wes is a regular at all three north Warwickshire clubs, and Folk at The Lion sessions.
Julie and Robert Elverstone
Julie’s divine voice and Robert’s excellent guitar playing ensure a fabulous listening experience.
Their combined talents are definitely an education!
Poacher’s Pocket
Colin Squire, Carole Gillespie and Campbell Perry.
They perform a wide range of material from traditional songs of the UK, Americana, self-penned songs and, in fact, anything that takes our fancy, because you never know what you might find in a Poacher’s Pocket!
Craig Sunderland
An impressive singer-songwriter from Coventry, with a massive and still growing reputation.
Bob Brooker
Bob describes himself as a semi-retired Traditional Folk Musician. Retired, perhaps, but not retiring.
An excellent multi-instrumentalist with a wide range of songs, Bob is a local favourite for a very good reason.
LA
LA are a male and female duo who have been performing together at open mics, pubs, village fairs, small music festivals, etc. since 2018. They play popular covers in a simple acoustic style and their repertoire covers a number of different genres, from Rock and Roll, Country, Indie Rock, Soul – whatever takes their fancy, from the 1950s to the present day.
Malc and Gill
As a duo, Malc & Gill, not surprisingly with their backgrounds, have a wide diversity of material, both traditionally and contemporary based, and ranging from clever harmony work to humour and even a serious ballad or two, performed either a-capella or with Malc’s pleasantly understated guitar accompaniment.
Lesley Wilson
Lesley is a regular at the Folk at The Lion sessions, and runs her own events in the Midlands area.
And your hosts for this meeting will be
Pete McParland
Pete performs regularly, and with acclaim, at numerous folk clubs in the Midlands. Songs from the 60s and 70s are his forte, but he wanders into other areas, too, with great success.
and
Dave Fry
Dave started by playing a Chad Valley tin banjo, when he was 10 years old, till he blistered his thumb and he was hooked! He bought his first home-made guitar at twelve. He played in beat groups in Cumbria in the swinging 60s, then found folk at 17. He fell in love with twelve-string guitar at 18 and has been playing one ever since.
